The ultimate example against the Christian faith.

July 31, 2007

A friend of mine asked me what would be the best argument against the Christian faith, i thought about this for a while. I mean what do you chose when the selection to choose from is almost infinite. After all just the Christian posters to my blog gives me loads of sad examples to choose from.

I thought about using the crusades, or the klaptokratic dictatorial rule over Europe and the rest of the world or maybe i schould point to the inquisition? or perhaps burning people alive at the stake for imaginary thought crimes etc etc etc etc, the historical palette offers boundless choice on this subject.

I dismissed these as examples due to the fact that not everyone can relate to historic suffering, even though its suffering and abuse on a monumental scale.

No i decided to restrict my choice to current affairs, not that that really narrowed the choice down much. I mean with female sexual mutilation, child molesting priests, tv evangelists begging for money, etc, etc, etc, etc. The current palette, just like the historical, offers a baffling array of almost boundless choice of examples of Christian, abuse, opression, corruption, moral deprivation ,violence, injustice, stupidity, etc, etc, etc the list just goes on and on and on.

After considerable consideration i decided to use the following as the ultimate example against the Christian faith.

189px-george-w-bush.jpeg

Yes George w Bush.

Hero to none, vindictive, speechless, moronic, a true Christian dimwit with a flare for the use of violence.

I desided to choose GW as the ultimate example, not only is he a piss poor leader, he is an idiot. i chose to use him because he was elected, not because he was a good leader, not because he was a good politician nor is he learned or a man of action,,, no he was mainly elected because he is a Christian with conservative (read – archaic old fashioned) values.

So thanks to the stupid Christian masses of America we now have the Iraq war a free falling American economy that is in death for the coming generation, we also have no progress on environmental issues or improvements in living conditions anywhere in the third world.

So thanks to all you Christian Americans that voted this clown into office, the rest of the world takes solace in the fact that your own children will suffer with the rest of us in the foreseeable future.

anyways this is my favorite ultimate example against the Christian faith, does anyone else have any ideas? i would love to hear them.

Religious contradictions? nooo! really?

July 30, 2007

I get a lot of loonies on my blog. I guess, if like me, you speak unapologetically against religion! That is to be expected, in a day i usually get 10-20 posts that look something like this.

“YOU WILL BURN IN HELL FOR ALL ETERNITY! I KNOW THE ONLY TRUTH YOU SATAN………..”

They always make me laugh, but i also feel a little sad for the poster, it must be hard going through life without ever experiencing two brain neurons firing simultaneously.

The other type of religious person are the “usually sane people” apart from the topic of their religion. Don’t get me wrong, if i talk about any other religion apart from theirs, they usually applauds my efforts.

This last group is particularly sad, they see how utterly insane other religions are, yet somehow they cannot see that their own is just as bad?.

I haven’t really done a post on this latter group, i have been thinking about it, but i didn’t have any really good examples on how these people bring the contradictions of their religious beliefs into their every day life.

A poster Derek have been posting comments on a variety of my articles, but what made me choose him as an example was when he posted some links to some creationist nonsense, on my article Is God impotent? Evil? or non-existent? and claiming this as some sort of evidence that there is a god?.

I will take a closer look at the specifics of his so called evidence shortly, i would just like to point out some interesting things about his blog before i start.

Derek on his blog is a virulent defender of Christianity, as well as a virulent adversary of Islam i wont go into these posts to much its enough to say that they follow the usual religious tirade with the same arguments defending both sides of the argument. Ie: for Christianity: the crusades where not violent since they where his gods judgment / against Islam: Muhammed carried out his own crusades. ehhhh ? are crusades good or bad, what, hu?

I am sorry derek but this is like saying murder is good when the CIA does it but not when its done by the KGB.

I have decided to use a kinder language, since i have gotten some critique for calling these idiots, idiots, without apology. I will instead focus on the glaring inconsistencies that stems from following a major religion like the Christian faith.

I have made many posts like Is God impotent? Evil? or non-existent? that point out the immense improbability of the existence of any god. This post will look at how religious people try to defend their faith and the faulty way they present their evidence and arguments. always the information presented in favor of god is speculation, or plainly false.

In Dereks post that is supposed to argue for the existence of god he opens like this

“Most atheists think that the Earth got here by pure chance. The big bang theory is contradictory. Here’s the big bang theory put in simple words: First there was nothing, then it exploded.

This is of course false, most Atheists believe that we haven’t figured out what caused the big bang yet, (that we haven’t figured it out yet doesn’t prove the existence of any deity) Big bang theory is actually a model for the universe back to about 13,7 billion years ago. The big bang as theorized is supported by a lot of evidence, microwave background radiation, light spectrum shift, the distribution and makeup of galaxies, etc cosmology has only been a field of study for about 100 years.

God isn’t supported by any evidence at all! even though this has been a field of study for approximately, 2000 years.

Now which one would you choose if you had a choice? the purely speculative option or the option that has a lot of evidence supporting it?

Difficult wouldn’t you say? “schould i chose pure speculation or fact???? hmmm???.

Derek then continues with the usual “he is eternal the beginning the end, bla bla” but that is to be expected, then he claims that we humans cant grasp something eternal. This is of course total nonsense, think of a circle! Tadaaa! you just imagined something eternal without an end! not really hard is it. Anyway its even more unlikely that there is some deity outside the boundaries of space and time that created space and time?

Dereks next argument is the “unlikely argument” ( if you do the math the most unlikely scenario of all is the existence of god) in short his argument goes like this. First: the likelihood of a planet like earth, around a star is one in 10 million or something that is so unlikely that it cant happen by chance. Its only unlikely until you bring the actual number of stars into the universe into account, the universe is estimated to contain at least 1021 stars 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 stars, even the most pessimistic probability calculation for the creation of an earth, gives a result where there are thousands of planet earths out there.

Actually by this argument even in its most ext ream scenario makes god absolutely impossible. Lets say that we have evidence for one earth so in any case we can say that earth is a probability of 1 in 1021 now we have no evidence at all for god so a 0 probability in whatever number equals 0……

The second part of the argument goes against the creation of life, it baffles me why religious people still use this argument. it has been scientifically proven that comet ice when exposed to ultraviolet light creates amino acids, that mixed with water and carbon gives self replicating molecules ever more complex IE: life.

Secondly evolution isn’t a random process, its a gradual development, that isn’t random at all. ( didn’t religious people go to school and study this in biology)

Now if you carry this process of how unlikely things are how unlikely will then god be? i guess religious people dont have to worry about that since they seam to decide their matters of faith in the absence of fact.

He concludes this argument with presenting genesis as the accurate description of how things came to be what they are today, never mind the fact that todays species are relatively new on a geological timescale, and never mind that 90% of all spiesis that ever lived are now extinct. Humans are relatively new on the scene and it is scientifically proven that we evolved from other hominids, if genesis was right shouldn’t it say that God created Australopithecus that would become man? Like most religious people Derek expects us to disregard the mountains of evidence that irrevocably proves that Genesis is pure fiction.

Anyway the next time, you meet a religious person, think about this. Do you really want to take someone that is this deluded seriously? i dont! would you elect someone this deluded to public office? do you want them anywhere near your kids? i know i dont.

I really feel sorry for all you religious people out there, it must be hard to live with such delusions. forcing your mind to ignore obvious facts like that…. its sad.

Priests and porn!

July 27, 2007

I don’t think anyone needs to think very hard to understand that sexual repression bad for you, just imagine what total sexual repression would do to your brain chemistry.

We are meant to have sex, our bodies are designed for it, to deny the body satisfaction of this basic need is just as bad as not eating right, one survey i read likened it to sleep deprivation. Nowhere is the dangers of sexual repression more obvious than all the pedophile priests in the catholic church.

church-funny3.gif

I mean these people are supposed to be the childrens guides their mentors, but all they do is destroy peoples lives.

chirch-funny3.jpg

what if the bible said that Jesus had been a woman?

chirch-funny4.jpg

I dont think we would have all this “this is sin” “that is sin” crapp, do you?

chirch-funny2.jpg

yet we have all these people all over the world still donating to these outdated oppressive monstrous organizations.

chirch-funny.jpg

And it really pisses me off that people defend these moronic superstitions from the fucking bronze age, what is wrong with them? they cant have fully functioning brains! a politician committing a crime like that they would be jailed immediately, not enjoying the protection of his peers.

and if everyone really is free to believe whatever they want. This right that all religious idiots flag in front of them in self defense. Why am i not allowed to believe that all religious people schould die? I tell you why its because only organized religion is accepted because the religions used to kill anyone who used to disagree.

chirch-funny5.gif

Religion is a perversion of human dignity, spirit and value.

Futurama on religion

Now i pick on religion quite often, but when it comes to really hammering in how ridiculous religion is no one does it better that futurama

GOD IS SUPER NEATO!!!

July 25, 2007

GOD IS SUPER NEATO!!!

Here you go morons! i hope many of you loose your faith!

You can thank me later!

Religious Nazi Unicorns?

July 25, 2007

I have often been accused of being to harsh in my arguments against religion, as one poster (Joe) recently said “you don’t have to be an asshole about it!”.

Well it depends on how you look at it, from my standpoint i am exceptionally restrained in my posts against religion, because i have seen countless times how mindbogglingly dangerous and stupid following a religion is! You have to be a complete idiot to defend or follow any religion.

May i remind you about the ridiculous response from the Islamic community to the Danish caricature drawings.

Where i live, if you claim to be religious, people rightfully look down at you, you might as well claim to be a Nazi that believes in unicorns! Religious people are finding it hard to find work, (even though the economy is booming) their kids are ridiculed in school, etc, in fact society at large is starting to shun these religious morons and their stupid superstitions as they should be.

It will probably take 30 years but the rest of the world will follow, and free itself from these ancient superstitions. If we don’t the human race will go extinct, if we want to survive as a spices we can no longer afford to live our lives in a modern world while our mind is anchored in fairytale that stem’s from the bronze age.

Let me give you an example of why these beliefs are so dangerous and stupid. For example 50% of Christian Americans believe that Jesus will return to earth to judge humanity in their lifetime? 50 fucking percent! and why is this a problem you might say? well do you think these people care about pollution or global warming? i mean from their standpoint the entire world is going to end in their lifetime anyway!

Bronze age mindsets belong in the bronze age, not in todays society, yet still we have suicide bombers, creationists, sexual mutilation, etc, etc, etc the list of unnecessary suffering, cruelty, and stupidity goes on and on.

You might ask what right i have to make any claims about religion, firstly i have studies religion. (yes i have actually read all the stupid superstitious nonsense) I have also done a lot of humanitarian work all around the world, (i used to work for the UN) and there is but one common denominator to all the worlds worst conflict areas, this meaningless cruelty, opression and incredible suffering all around the world stems from one thing. Religion!

In fact i bet $1 000 that religion will be the cause of the following in the next 10 years

  1. India and Pakistan will fight a nuclear war over Kashmir.
  2. The middle east conflict will still be raging between Israel and all its neighbors.
  3. All religious African countries will still be corrupt and even worse off then they are today.
  4. Secular violence in Iraq will be even worse than today.
  5. Iran will still export the same things they exported when the priests took power, pistachio nuts and rugs.
  6. World wide terrorism anchored in religious superstition will increase dramatically.
  7. Afghanistan will still be a lost cause, a violent, dangerous, religious, tribal, wasteland.
  8. Western powers will drastically curtail immigration from all religious countries.
  9. More countries will free themselves from religious superstitions and these will be the worlds leading nations with hordes of people from religious societies knocking at their doors looking for a better life.
  10. The standard of living in all religious countries will stand still or continue to decline.
  11. America will turn towards atheism, in disgust of religious stupidity.
  12. Claiming to be religious will be frowned upon in most of the developed world.

By the end of 10 years religion will be responsible for the needless death and untold suffering of hundreds of millions of people.

Lets rip this festering, cancerous, puss ball from humanity and start thinking for ourselves! lets find out how we will deal with todays problems with todays knowledge, technology and frame of mind, lets forget this stupid archaic nonsense from the bronze age.

The koran says you schouldnt believe!

July 24, 2007

Just like the bible the koran contains cover to cover contradictions written in the format of bronze age gibberish.

My reason for this post is that often people quote the koran to me as if that means anything, usually the poster has cherry picked some verse for some kind of meaning.

I have always found one contradiction particularly interesting, since the meaning of the word Islam actually means means “submission”, or the total surrender of oneself to God.

Lets take a look at what the Koran says on the subject, is belief compulsory according to the Koran? can anyone tell me wich one is right? Is there no compulsion? should anyone that doesn’t believe be killed? LOL remember this is from the so called holy book for islam….

(2:256)

Let there be no compulsion in religion: Truth stands out clear from Error: whoever rejects evil and believes in Allah hath grasped the most trustworthy hand-hold, that never breaks. And Allah heareth and knoweth all things,” .

(9:3)

“And an announcement from Allah and His Messenger, to the people (assembled) on the day of the Great Pilgrimage,- that Allah and His Messenger dissolve (treaty) obligations with the Pagans. If then, ye repent, it were best for you; but if ye turn away, know ye that ye cannot frustrate Allah. And proclaim a grievous penalty to those who reject Faith,” .

(9:5)

“But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war); but if they repent, and establish regular prayers and practice regular charity, then open the way for them: for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful,” .

(9:29)

Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued,” .

As you can see its all self contradicting and vague, its bullshit from cover to cover. Anyone that believes this crap is a fucking moron, religious people are just total idiots.

Next week: contradictions in the bible

Look another idiot found me!

July 19, 2007

Another religious idiot made a post on me again, needless to say it follows the standard formula. Gonzales responded to the is god impotent post, and like a true religious nutt-job he tries to avoid answering on the content of my post, presenting instead the usual tirade of meaningless religio-babble.

His main counter argument seams to be that my spelling sucks, which it does, English is my third language but that is irrelevant. Besides i like misspelling mosk, alla, etc.

My God is impotent post quotes Epikurs 4 questions and the idiots response is….. ( drum roll) The questions are wrong! yepp Gonzales claims the questions are “inherently flawed”. Of course there is no reasonable explanation at all as to why they are flawed, typical religious nutt-job response “i don’t like the inevitable answer, so the question must be wrong”

Like a true religious idiot he continues with a long tirade of meaningless gibberish, let me quote him “a) the questioner’s apparent understanding of evil and its reality; and b) how our universe functions and the role evil plays in it.”

Gonzales seams to believe he can read minds across time? i mean, how else can he claim that he is able to judge Epikurs understanding of what evil is?

Gonzales then reverts into a tirade where it seams like he is trying to define good and evil, via some obscure references to to some imams interpretations of his holy texts. Its all absolute nonsense, meaningless gibberish based on unfounded speculation and interpretation of bronze age texts from people living in tents.

He also claims atheist will have trouble defining Evil, again unfounded speculation from Gonzales, in fact i can easily define Evil from his religious standpoint as well as from a normal persons ethical standpoint.

- Religious idiot standpoint evil = anything against the will or law of the god(s)

- Ethical standpoint evil = a violations of empathetic ideals which is manifests as morally or ethically objectionable thought, speech, or action which is hateful, cruel, violent, or devoid of conscience.

If you follow the first definition you end up with gender mutilation, suicide bombers and stagnant oppressive societies, Gonzales will fit right inn.
Gonzales the concludes with a typical religious contradiction, if the universe works by cause and effect as Gonsales stipulates below what caused allah?

“This universe works on cause and effect; it is the way Allah created it. Something happens, which in turn affects the things around it and cause other things to happen. Keeping this in mind, the occurance and existence of evils in the world is integral to how the universe functions.”

Thankfully atheism is growing at an exponential rate, within just 30 years religious idiots will be a minority in the west, and the majority of people will see religious idiots for what they really are. Superstitious, brainless, morons.

Is God impotent? Evil? or non-existent?

July 16, 2007

Religious people often use their religious books as arguments, often the argument goes like this.

This holy book is old and since it is written in it it is true and the word of god. This is of course a circular argument ie: total nonsense, keep in mind that the Bible, Koran and other so called holy books is nothing more that bronze age nonsense written by people living in tents.

lets take a look at something els from the same time period, EPIKUR (342? – 270 f.v.t.) the greek philosofer. posed some interesting questions around the stupidity of god that i think illustrates how incredibly stupid you have to be to be religious.

Epikurs questions went something like this, there is evil all around so:

Is god willing to prevent evil and suffering, but unable to do it? (then god is not almighty)

Is he able, but unvilling to prevent evil and suffering? (then he is evil.)

Is he both able and willing to prevent evil and suffering? (then where does evil come from?)

Is he unable and unwilling to prevent evil and suffering? (then there is no point calling him god)

This quote is written down in an old text and should therefor be considered evidence of the absolute truth by the standards of religious people.

Once again if you are religious you are a complete moron, you are an idiot beyond classification and you should take a long walk off a tall cliff as soon as possible, sterilize yourself or go live in a cave to prevent further damage to the gene pool.

Melanie the christian crackpot.

July 13, 2007

I moderate all comments to my blogg, this is because a lot of the posts are meaningless gibberish in capital letters about how i will burn in hell for criticizing religion or a claim about how the posters religion is the only right one. Usually these posts contain some wishful quote to some obscure interpretation of some holy verse that are presented as evidence.

I delete most of these since they are meaningless and of no interest to anyone, all other posts go up unedited. However sometimes some of these posts stand out as prime examples of how deranged you actually have to be to be religious, one such example came yesterday from Melanie Stephan. This woman is so far gone that i don’t think she will ever recover.

I have given Islam a lot of flack lately, neglecting the other major superstitions so today i will highlight how incredebly deranged Christians are, based on Melanies post on my article why are muslims so mindless and stupid.

Here is Melanies post i have commented on how ridiculous this post really is below.

“This is an important message, please read and pass it along. God has made contact. The message is about Revelation. The message is from God, Jesus and the Holy Ghost respectively. It was sent in the Spring of 2006. It is about the meaning of First is Last and Last is First . The message is this: In the morning I go to Heaven. In the afternoon I live my life. In the evening I die, death. What does this mean? In other words this means Birth is Last and Last is Birth. To understand this don’t think from point A to point B. Think of this as a continous circle of life. Birth, Life, Death, Birth. God also said that Judgment will be before Birth in Heaven. AS birth on Earth is painful so will birth in Heaven. It is possible that this message was delivered by one of God’s Angels in the Spring of 2006. Yes, God has made contact and he sent a messenger. Spread this message along, just like a chain letter. Tell two people. OH, one more thing of interest. Did you know that Mike Douglas died on his Birthday. Melanie Stephan”

Here is a woman that actually believe that an almighty god has entrusted her with delivering a message on his behalf? in code none the less. A host of questions immediately comes to mind.

- Why would an omnipotent all powerful creature, that exists in no less than 3 forms, need to rely on chain mail just to deliver a message?

- Why would he send a message that can only be described as meaningless gibberish?

- Would an omnipotent being really be unable to deliver a message that is clear and easy to understand, i mean even my 5 year old son manages to do this?

- Why would he use a messenger without any credibility?

- Why would he use email? why not just put the message up in the sky or directly in front of our eyes?

- Why would an omnipotent being that supposedly cares about us try to confuse us with a message that can be interpreted as anything? is he cruel? does he enjoy making us frustrated?

- Why would a message from an omnipotent being suffer a one year delay before it reached me?

- What does Michael Douglas have to do with it?

- Why is dying on ones own birth day anything special? thousands of people do this every year?

The answer is of course that Melanie is a religious idiot, and that her post is nothing more that the delusional fabrication of a religious idiots, twisted sick mind.

To more clearly illustrate this i have re written Melanies comment, i have exchanged the religious link with something just as ridiculous but not shielded from free en query like religion is. the changed words are in bold italic.

“This is an important message, please read and pass it along. the Goldfish has made contact. The message is about the blue planet. The message is from the Goldfish, the Seahorse and the holy Seaweed respectively. The Goldfish also said that Judgment will be before Birth in the ocean. AS birth on Earth is painful so will birth in the sea be. It is possible that this message was delivered by one of the Goldfish’s Jellyfish in the Spring of 2006. Yes, the Goldfish has made contact and he sent a messenger. Spread this message along, just like a chain letter. Tell two people. OH, one more thing of interest. Did you know that Mike Douglas died on his Birthday. Melanie Stephan”

Look how stupid it is and all i did was exchange the fictional, with things that actually exists.
